My Husband and I visited Marrakesh for the first time in July 2006, as we stepped off our 3 hour flight from the UK and the glorious heat and sunlight pricked our skin, NEVER in a zillion years would we have imagined how this amazing place would change our lives. We instantly fell in love with the charisma of this unique and vibrant city - the Medina ('Old City') still bustling with traditional Moroccan life dating back to the 11th Century, in contrast to the glitz and glamour of Guelizs ('New Town') - Ville Nouvelle; with its laid-back cosmopolitan vibe. The charming and hospitable locals, exotic smells, bountiful colours and most of all - the calm and character of its traditional court yard houses - THE RIAD.
We didn't leave Marrakesh as planned that first trip, until we had purchased a Riad; a traditional family home in the Bab Doukkala section of the old Medina. Four years of planning, rebuilding and designing alongside our amazing Moroccan team; our vision of a very beautiful and stylish boutique hotel has been realised.
We hope you too will love Marrakech and enjoy your stay in our beautiful Moroccan home.
